AS SOLO APPS

SoloScan Privacy Policy

Transparency about documents, on-device processing and optional network access.

Effective 15 October 2026

App: SoloScan  ·  Developer: AS Solo Apps

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how SoloScan, provided under the developer name AS Solo Apps, handles information when you use its document scanning, PDF, file-conversion, editing, and file-management features. It applies to the SoloScan app and its related web-based functionality. It does not cover independent third-party apps or services you choose to use to open or share your exported files.

2. Documents, camera and device files

SoloScan is designed to process imported documents, captured images, OCR text, PDFs, signatures, stamps and related editing information on your device. Its documented web-based release does not intentionally send the contents of your documents or scans to a SoloScan-operated server for processing. You control which documents or photos to import, when to use the camera and when to export or share a file. The app requests access through the relevant device or browser controls when needed. You should avoid importing materials you are not authorised to handle.

3. Local storage and backups

Depending on the features you use, SoloScan may keep document drafts, scans, PDFs, OCR indexes, saved signatures, settings and form drafts in app- or browser-managed local storage on your device. Local storage is generally retained until you remove its contents, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app, or until the operating system or browser clears stored data. Clearing storage or uninstalling can permanently remove locally stored materials. You are responsible for keeping independent copies of important files. Exported documents and backups remain wherever you save or share them and are not deleted automatically when you clear SoloScan's local library. Plain exported ZIP backups may not be encrypted; some backup formats provide optional password protection. Locally saved signature images and some drafts may not be encrypted. Keep confidential exports and signature images in a secure location.

4. Internet connections and service providers

SoloScan's interface and some optional software components may be delivered over the internet. Its documented web implementation uses hosting services, including Cloudflare Pages, and may download optional PDF, OCR, document and preview components from third-party content delivery networks when you choose to install or use those capabilities. When these requests are made, the receiving hosting or network provider may process technical connection data such as your IP address, browser/device details, time of request and requested resource for delivery, availability and security. These technical requests do not intentionally include the contents of the documents you are editing. Processing by network providers is governed by their applicable services and policies. Some app features can work offline once required components have been installed and cached; not every feature will be available without prior setup. The final Android release and any additional software development kits will be reviewed before publication, and this policy will be updated if their data practices differ.

5. Data sharing

AS Solo Apps does not intentionally sell your document contents or operate a service for sharing your documents with advertisers. If you choose to export a file or share it using your device's sharing options, the destination application, storage provider or recipient may receive that file as a result of your action. Their handling of the file is subject to their own terms and privacy practices. Technical connection information may be processed by hosting, security and software-delivery service providers as described above. We may disclose information if legally required and only to the extent applicable.

6. Contacting AS Solo Apps

If you contact us at asdigital.solo@gmail.com, we receive the information you include in your message and the contact address you use. We use it to answer your question, troubleshoot issues or respond to your privacy request. We keep correspondence only as needed to handle the request, maintain necessary records or meet legal obligations, after which it can be deleted subject to applicable requirements. Please do not send sensitive identity documents or passwords by ordinary email unless specifically necessary and you understand the risks.

7. Security and limitations

SoloScan is designed for local document work and may offer password-protected exports or backups. However, no device, software or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Device access, browser storage eviction, unencrypted exports and access by other people to your device can create risks. Back up important files. Visual application of a signature image is not the same as cryptographic digital signing. Review edited and redacted documents carefully before sharing. We recommend device-level screen locking and up-to-date software.

8. Retention, deletion and privacy requests

For documents kept only in the app's local storage, you can remove individual items using available in-app deletion features. Clearing SoloScan's app or website storage through device/browser settings or uninstalling the application can remove remaining local app data, but may also irreversibly destroy documents you have not exported. Copies you separately exported, backed up or shared must be removed from those destinations separately. We cannot remotely retrieve or delete documents that were never sent to us. For questions about technical data or correspondence handled by AS Solo Apps, or to request access or deletion where applicable, email asdigital.solo@gmail.com. We will assess and respond according to applicable law.

9. Children

SoloScan is a general-purpose document utility intended primarily for personal and professional productivity and is not designed specifically for children. We do not intentionally operate child-focused accounts or behavioural advertising in the documented release.

10. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy when features, technical integrations or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be published on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes to data practices will be reflected in Google Play disclosures and any required in-app notices before they take effect.
